Blood work can indicate issues that may not be seen by a simple physical exam, and it is important to know that anesthesia can be administered to your pet as safely as possible. Our pets feel pain in the same manner as we do, therefore pain medication is administered to keep your pet as comfortable as possible during surgery. Before and after the procedure, Dr. Stephenson and our experienced staff continuously monitors your pet’s vital signs including heart rate and blood oxygen levels. Your pet will continue to be monitored at the conclusion of the treatment and kept warm as they recover from the anesthesia.
